Union United Methodist Church

Union UMC has been a part of the community for 150 years.  In 2006 we took a leap of faith and moved from our facility on Martindale Rd. to a fully handicap accessible church on the corner of Shaw and Phillipsburg-Union Roads.  We continue to serve the community through service projects and have built a solid relationship with the Union Elementary School.  Our church is small but big on ideas and we believe in a HUGE God.  We are connecting with the world and understand that ministry in the 21st century has to be about people and not projects.  We worship in a blended, relaxed style and believe that you are welcome to come as you are.

Who We Are

Union is a United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Church is an 11-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens doors and opens minds through active engagement with our world.

John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as “practical divinity” has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.

United Methodists profess the historic Christian faith in God, incarnate in Jesus Christ for our salvation and ever at work in human history in the Holy Spirit. Living in a covenant of grace under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we participate in the first fruits of God’s coming reign and pray in hope for its full realization on earth as in heaven.

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.



Why Union?

Our vision for 2011 is to grow our church for the glory of God.  The Holy Spirit is moving in our midst. We open wide our doors and welcome all who would know Christ and do his will. 

You will be welcomed as one who is a fellow pilgrim in this world and one who is loved by God.  Our goal is to bring the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. 

We believe in simplicity and do not strive to be something that God is not calling us to be.  We are a WYSIWYG church (what you see is what you get).  We are too busy to wear masks in this world.
